Lea Yunk is an artist and illustrator based in Singapore, and the founder of Episodic Drawing, a creative studio known for its distinctive witchy, eclectic aesthetic. Her work blends natural elements, mystical symbolism, and intricate patterns, brought to life through vibrant pops of color set against deep, moody backgrounds. Constantly surrounded by the lush beauty of nature in Singapore, Lea draws daily inspiration from the organic world, transforming it into artwork that feels both magical and grounding.

Before fully embracing illustration, Lea spent over a decade working as a graphic designer. Her creative journey paused during a deeply meaningful chapter of life—welcoming and raising her third child—when she took an extended break from art to focus on motherhood. After this period of reflection and connection, she felt a renewed pull toward creativity and returned to her artistic practice with fresh perspective and purpose, reconnecting with her passion as an illustrator.

In 2019, Lea officially launched Episodic Drawing, marking a new chapter in her career. Since then, her work has gained widespread recognition, earning her status as a top-selling designer across multiple marketplaces. Her illustrations have been licensed and commissioned for a wide range of products, including stationery, fabric, home décor, gifts, clothing, and book covers. Over the years, she has collaborated with notable publishers, retailers, and manufacturers, bringing her signature visual language to both independent and global brands.

At the heart of Lea’s work is what she describes as the capture of “strange wonderful” moments—those quiet, magical instances that unfold at night, often unseen or unnoticed. She believes there is something deeply mystical about darkness: a place where color glows brighter, emotions speak louder, and magic exists in silence. Her art evokes this feeling—like a firework that makes no sound, or a conversation held only through a shared glance, shimmering quietly in the dark.

Through her illustrations, Lea hopes to bring a sense of magic, calm, and healing into people’s lives. Her work invites viewers to slow down, soften their busy hearts, and reconnect with a quieter, more enchanted inner world — in collaboration with DenimINK.
