Nichele is a Filipino–Taiwanese artist based in Taipei, creating delicate, dreamlike artwork under her brand thearticsoul. By day, she works in tech; by night—and most weekends—she transforms everyday moments into art from her apartment studio. This balance between structure and creativity shapes her practice, allowing her to approach art with both intention and curiosity.

Nichele has been painting with watercolor for as long as she can remember, drawn to its softness and fluidity. Over the past several years, she has carried that same gentle, expressive quality into her digital work using her iPad. Recently, she has been exploring the art of pattern-making, remixing her illustrations into repeat designs—embracing both the excitement of successful compositions and the challenge of refining balance and placement through practice.

Her artwork often features florals, elegant trinkets, and all things pretty—visual reflections of the small, meaningful details that inspire her daily life. Feminine, airy, and quietly romantic, her designs are meant to feel wearable and personal, adding a soft touch and a hint of dreaminess to everyday denim.

Through thearticsoul, Nichele hopes to share art that feels intimate and expressive—pieces that move effortlessly from illustration to clothing, becoming part of someone’s personal style. Her work celebrates patience, growth, and the beauty found in experimentation, reminding us that creativity is a journey shaped by practice as much as inspiration.

When she’s not creating, Nichele can often be found in the kitchen testing new recipes or at a local dance studio moving to hip hop and street jazz.
